United’s new Madeira service will debut on June 7 and continue through September 23, offering three weekly departures from EWR—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—scheduled for 9:50 p.m. departures.
This seasonal route is designed to strengthen U.S.–Portugal travel connections and open up smoother links for American travelers to explore the island’s lush scenery, heritage, and coastal charm.
Meanwhile, the route to Faro in the sun-soaked Algarve region also promises to boost tourism flows and support greater engagement with Portugal’s southern gems.
