A WOMAN has left people open-mouthed and desperate to 'steal' some of her ideas after sharing her epic hallway glow-up. Ellie Munt, from London, UK, took to Facebook to post snaps of her transformation, which has taken the internet by storm. The young woman explained that although the hallway required a lot of work, it was totally worth in the end - and she also didn't fork out a fortune either.

Rather than snapping up posh items from expensive retailers, the savvy Londoner spruced up the old hallway using bargains from The Range and B&Q. Before the jaw-dropping makeover, the hallway lacked any character, featuring basic white walls, a grey chest of drawers and a coat rack. The banister, too, was white, while the staircase featured a basic grey runner.

To inject some life into the drab hallway, Ellie gave the staircase a lick of black paint and added stunning black panelling detailing on the sides. After removing the grubby runner from the stairs, she left the original wood flooring underneath and placed a new - more chic - runner on top. Meanwhile, the once white wall at the very front was given a brand new look with a fabulous wall panel she had purchased from B&Q.

The popular retailer offers a huge variety of these, selling for as little as £47. The DIY fan completed the epic transformation with a huge mirror, as well as a smaller table, two stunning candles and homeware accessories. The black theme was also continued further inside her home, with a black and white wallpa.
